If you’ve been hiding for the last couple of weeks you may not be aware that in tonight’s special Halloween episode of Castle Nathan Fillion’s character Richard Castle will be sporting a rather familiar looking costume. If you haven’t watched Castle before, this is one episode you won’t want to miss. Castle airs on ABC Monday nights at 10/9c. Spread the word!
In other Castle news, it’s great to see that ABC has ordered the back 9 for season two bringing the total number of episodes up to 22.

To start off, I would like to say that I love “Castle”. I think it is a show where some of your “Mal” character can come through. Tonight’s opener…..FANTASTIC! I am not sure if you get either of the e-mails from this cite or the one at ABC but I just wanted you to know that I loved the shout out you did for your fans tonight. You are a fantastic actor and I cannot wait to see what more you have in store for us this season! Good Luck!
I thought I was the only Firefly fan who noticed the return of Mal on the set of Castle this week. Love it and love Nathan!

Nathan, I second Ashley’s sentiment. As soon as I saw the costume, I called my brother, who is also a Firefly fan, and told him about it. I think this is probably the best bit of TV I’ve seen in awhile. The way that the whole idea of “Mal” was brought back and worked it’s way into the script perfectly. Thanks. Now let’s see if we can get Captain Hammer on the show. 
I enthusiastically concur with all previous comments about the return of Mal on Castle. I was on the phone with a friend as the episode came on, and I all but hung up on them and whooped loud enough to startle the neighbors. Do any of you know who came up with the idea for the space cowboy costume and how it was worked into the script? Whoever it was, they have my sincere thanks and admiration. Made my month!
My spouse told me about this bit ahead of time, knowing that I’m a big Browncoat. As cool as it was seeing Nathan in his Mal costume again, hearing the dialogue with his daughter about it in that bit was even more priceless. LOL

My husband and I both loved the reference to Firefly. How I wish that show would come back. I have purchased both the movie and the tv series just as I will do with Castle. I am a huge fan and I know several other people that love this show as well as Firefly. Thank you a million times for being our favorite space cowboy and for giving us recognition that we have not forgotten!
I forgot to say, my husband and I watch everything and anything that has the cast of Firefly in it just because of Firefly.

Late to the story, but LOVE Firefly. Started my new decade with Serenity. WISH there were as many episodes in the series as there are of MASH or some other great classics. Next stop, Castle!
I have enjoyed CASTLE. Then went back to see FIREFLY, SERENITY, WAITRESS, DR. HORRIBLE, etc. This is a really exceptional actor. A member of our family writes for television and has said for years that Weeden(did I spell it correctly?)is a genius and loves Nathan Fillion. I, being older than most fans I should think, particularly love the relationship between Castle and his daughter and mother. That is just beautifully written and performed.
