Movies and Series and Sequels and things

Things have been all go where Nathan Fillion is concerned with a few new projects coming out recently/soon.

…what’s next we have no idea but it seems that sequels are “on the horizon”.

Dr. Horrible was an outstanding success with sales on iTunes and DVD flying up the bestseller charts with astounding speed and ever since it was released fans have been crying out for more. At Comic Con last year Jed Whedon indicated there would be more and there have been other little confirmations of that along the way, the final track of Musical! The Commentary on the DVD, Steve’s Song, says “and yes on the horizon there’s a sequel”. Nathan Fillion also confirmed this last week during a press event promoting ABC’s new series Castle. Fillion said “There is talk about a Dr. Horrible sequel…It’s actually in one of the songs on the Dr. Horrible DVD commentary music.”

The Dr. Horrible sequel won’t happen in the near future with all of the cast and crew busy with other projects but Fillion is looking forward to continuing the tale. The always asked question about a Serenitysequel also arose and Fillion responded, “… nothing is on the horizon. Not yet.” There have been many rumours since Serenity was released, some saying right out there will be a sequel and some saying there never will be but if you ask the cast or crew directly, they all say they still hope there will be more. Both Whedon and Fillion have said recently that “there’s nothing happening now” but left the hope alive that some day we’ll see something new from the ‘verse.
